About this design

A cluster of small black and white mushrooms sprouts from a cut tree stump, all of it shadowed by one huge domed cap. Dense black cap undersides and the dark mushroom heads at the base are drawn to hide the finder squares, while the pale stems, speckled caps and stump soil carry the modules. Hard black fills against the clean white ground keep the pattern readable, with hatching on the cap and stippling under the stump adding texture without crowding the code. Fine dotted shading fades out around the base of the stump.
