About this design

A large domed mushroom rises from a bed of moss, small leaves and a ring of tiny white toadstools, all drawn in black ink on white. Three square rosettes of dark radiating lines hide the finder squares, set into the cap and the mushroom stalk base. The modules are carried by the gills and branching stalk shapes, which are filled solid black against pale cap areas. Stippling and fine hatching stay light around the edges, so the dense black center keeps strong contrast.
