A cluster of fragmented faces, with stacked eyes, noses and jaws, fills a canvas of cream, charcoal, slate blue and ochre, with small touches of red. Three concentric square frames with dark borders and pale inner rings act as the finder squares and sit among the angular planes. Dark hatched blocks and light panels form the modules, so the facets double as the pattern. Strong black against cream keeps the grid legible through the textured brushwork, and the faces gather densely in the centre.
