About this design

A diagonal spearhead covered in tribal markings, with striped and zigzag bands, curved thorn blades and thin radiating lines, drawn in black ink on white. Three concentric square frames with bold black borders take the place of the finder squares. The modules are carried by solid black fills, an abstract masked face, stars and scattered dots, which mix with the pattern work. Heavy black masses against the empty white ground keep the contrast high, while fine hatching stays in the outer blades.
