About this design

A black ink skull with a cracked cranium, bared teeth and a nose cavity, ringed by blooming roses, serrated leaves and small blossoms on white paper. Square rose blooms and heavy black frames take the place of the finder squares, while the skull's mottled bone patches and eye sockets carry the dark and light modules. Solid black fills against clean white give the pattern strong contrast, and fine line shading stays on the roses and leaves. Scattered ink splatters around the edges add a hand inked look.
