About this design

A pine cone with overlapping gray scales sits at the base of a dense black thicket of foliage, with slender leafy branches fanning out on a plain white ground. Three square frames with hatched inner borders and solid black centers act as the finder squares, tucked among the leaves and branches. The dark modules are drawn as clustered blossoms, vines and knotted twigs, while thin gray outlined leaves keep the surrounding space light. Strong black against white and fine line hatching keep the pattern clear.
