About this design

A tiled mosaic mural on a stucco wall centers on a large red and orange eye ringed by swirling bands of pink, orange and navy tesserae. Three round concentric medallions of cream and dark tiles with radiating spokes disguise the finder squares, while the checkerboard patches of navy and cream tile carry the modules. Strong dark and light tile contrast and visible grout lines keep the pattern legible across the surface. The curved flow of tiles around the iris gives the wall a hand-laid look.
