About this design

A tile mosaic mural on a pale plaster wall, where a twisting ribbon of multicolored shards curls across a field of navy, sky blue and cream squares. Three concentric rosettes of fan-shaped tiles hide the finder squares, while the dark and light modules are carried by the navy and cream tile grid around the ribbon. Strong contrast between deep navy tiles and pale cream ones keeps the pattern legible, and the busy ribbon stays within the lighter gaps. Pink, red, green and yellow fragments give the surface a festive carnival feel.
