About this design

A white plate of salmon and tuna sushi rolls sits in a burst of red, orange, cyan and navy ink splatters. Three dark square frames with pale tinted interiors and small sushi motifs take the place of the finder squares, so they read as part of the plate scene. The dark nori, rice and splatter blots carry the modules against the clean white background. Strong contrast between the black accents and the pale rice keeps the pattern clear, and thin chopsticks and dripping orange beads add loose movement around the edges.
