About this design

A skull sinks partway into rippling black and grey water while a lotus blossom rises on a thin stem above it, ringed by a fine circle and scattered bubbles. Three lotus panels in the upper frame stand in for the finder squares, and the skull's mottled bone and the dense petal work carry the dark and light modules. Pure black ink against the white ground keeps the pattern crisp, and the smooth water below gives the busy upper half room to breathe. Small floating droplets add a soft finish to the edges.
