About this design

A crowd of citizens in tricorn hats and period coats storms a palace square, raising torches and red banners under a smoky sky. Dark swirls of black cloth in the center of the scene carry the dense modules, while the flags, flames and stone facades work as the markers that hide the finder squares. Strong contrast between the black fabric and the pale smoke behind it keeps the pattern legible. Warm firelight against cool grey architecture gives the whole scene a dramatic, painted feel.
