About this design

A painted surface of chunky red, navy and cobalt daubs spread over a cracked yellow ground, flecked with small dots and fine crackle lines. Three square frames of blue-violet paint, each holding a solid red block, take the place of the finder squares. The red clusters in the middle carry the modules, while navy rectangles and loose spatter fill the margins. Strong contrast between dark red and pale yellow keeps the pattern legible despite the rough brushwork.
