About this design

A white porcelain teapot sits on a gold-rimmed saucer, a thin curl of steam rising above it and a small green cup standing at its side. Brown and copper glaze swirls wrap the belly of the pot, and these dark ornamental shapes carry the modules while the glossy white ceramic provides the light ground. The finder squares are hidden in the glaze scrolls and the pooled drips on the saucer. Strong contrast between chocolate brown and bright white keeps the pattern clear, and soft shadows on the grey backdrop add depth.
