About this design

Swirling flame-like brush shapes in maroon, black and cream fill a white square, scattered with paisley curls, dotted rosettes and fine filigree lines. The three finder squares are disguised as framed tile medallions with crossed diagonals and patterned borders in red and black. The remaining modules are carried by the dark flame and curl forms, while the white gaps between them form the light cells. Heavy dark masses against clean white keep the pattern crisp, and the fine line detail stays inside the shapes.
