Porcelain bowls, a clay teapot and a blue-glazed pitcher sit on warm wooden tables, with white steam curling through a panelled collage. Framed calligraphy panels and the black and white lattice tile at the top centre stand in for the finder squares, and the dark bowl details and scattered black berries carry many of the modules. Strong contrast between the dark frames, black tile cells and pale ceramics keeps the pattern legible. The swirling steam ribbons tie the panels together into a single scene.
