About this design

A lion's head in solid black ink, with a swept mane of fine hatched strokes, sharp angular ears and long whiskers across a plain white background. Square frames with inner blocks hide the finder squares, one set into the mane and another at the edge of the muzzle. The dark modules are carried by the patchy fur markings and black blobs around the face. Heavy black against white keeps the pattern clear, while thin mane lines add texture without crowding the code. A few ink splatters drift around the head.
