About this design

A round jug, a tall banded vase and a shallow dish sit on a pale wooden table in front of sunlit green grass. Brown and cobalt blue glaze marks on the cream surfaces hide the finder squares, and the glaze splashes and dots carry the dark modules. The cream ground and gloss of the glaze give strong contrast against the dark marks, while the blurred grass keeps the background quiet. Visible throwing rings on the vase add fine texture across the pattern.
