About this design

A glazed ceramic jug in cream, cobalt blue and rust brown stands in warm sunlight, with other pots blurred behind it. The three finder squares appear as rust brown square frames on the belly of the jug and as a blue mark near the rim. Brown glaze blotches and blue lines form the modules against the pale speckled glaze. The strong contrast between dark pigment and cream surface keeps the pattern clear, and the dark brown base gives the jug a grounded finish.
