About this design

A flaming skull in black ink sits at the center, wrapped in grey smoke and curling flame tongues on a plain white background. Square frames with solid black centers sit on the skull and take the place of the eye socket and jaw areas, so they read as part of the bone structure. The modules are carried by the black blotches across the cranium, small blossoms and the shadowed teeth. Thick outlines and stark black against white keep the pattern clear, while the soft grey smoke stays well away from the dense areas.
