About this design

A desert landscape assembled from torn travel posters, with layered sand dunes in tan and brown paper under strips of turquoise sky. Two nested square paper frames and a framed adobe doorway at the lower edge disguise the finder squares, and the dark modules are carried by black paper triangles, diamonds, stars and cut brown shapes. Cream and sand sheets against black and brown cutouts keep a strong contrast across the pattern. Ragged edges and speckled texture overlays give the whole piece a handmade, dada feel.
