About this design

Two glossy cobalt blue pottery jugs sit on a sunlit tabletop, flanked by a speckled vase and a broad-leafed houseplant. The square finder patterns are painted into the glaze: the large jug and the small handled pitcher each carry a nested square motif. Dark brown and navy glaze pools act as the dark modules, and the pale speckled blue forms the light ground. Strong contrast between the dark glaze and light base keeps the pattern clear, and the blurred leaves and picture frames behind leave it undisturbed.
