About this design

A black and white bird with wings spread wide perches among dark leaves on a bare branch, drawn in bold ink lines on a plain white ground. Three square frames, each holding a dark flower, take the place of the finder squares. The feathers, leaf clusters and a small blossom on the wing carry the modules as dense black shapes against white gaps. Strong contrast and crisp edges keep the pattern clear, while a touch of yellow on the beak is the only color.
